Richard (Rick) William Collins
Rick, born in Detroit, Michigan, spent his childhood in Farmington, Michigan (a suburb of Detroit). Graduated from Farmington High School in 1966 and then served in the U.S. Air force from March, 1968 to December, 1971. Attended and graduated from University of Michigan with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering in 1977. Worked from August, 1977 until June, 1980 as an engineer at General Motors Proving Grounds in Milford, Michigan. Transient employment from June, 1980 until November, 1983. From November, 1983 until March, 1986 employed with the U.S. government as a test engineer. In March 1986 was disability retired due to injuries caused by military service.
In 1980 he moved to his current home in Fenton, Michigan.
