Linda Mae Street¹
b. 1949

Linda, born in Portage la Prairie, graduated Grade 12 University Entrance from Portage Collegiate Institute in 1967.  She then attended Red River Community College in Winnipeg and graduated first in her class of Medical Laboratory Technologists in 1969.
She met Ernie Kindrat in Birtle in 1969 and they were married July 22, 1972 in Grandview, Manitoba.
Ernie, born in New Westminister, B.C., moved back to Grandview in the mid 1940's.  After he graduated from high school, he attended Red River Community College in Medical Laboratory Technology and Medical Radiological Technology Combined course.  Ernie graduated in 1965 and moved to many areas of Manitoba before he transferred to Birtle as Area Chief Technologist in 1968;  he moved to Swan River in January, 1970 as Area Chief.
Linda and Ernie settled in Swan River in 1972 and raised their three children there.
In 2006 Linda was employed full time with the Parkland Regional Health Authority in the Swan River Lab.  Ernie retired on July 30, 2004 and continued to run M&D's Brew Barrel from their home and was active in the church executive.
Ernie died after a lengthy illness and is buried at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Winnipeg.²
