George Keith Armishaw¹                
b. Sept. 16, 1915 - d. Oct. 5, 2004¹        

Keith was born in Portage La Prairie Sept. 16, 1915.  He lived at home with his father who had two farms 15 miles southeast of Portage La Prairie².  His dad cut wood in February for sale in Portage the following winter. After school each day, it was Keith and Tom's job to load the sleigh for the next trip.*  He attended Hood School and enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942¹ as a mechanic².  He served throughout Canada until his discharge in 1945¹.
Evelyn Elizabeth Rae
b. Dec. 15, 1920 - d. Mar. 9, 2007³
Keith married Evelyn Elizabeth Rae, eldest daughter of James and Elizabeth Rae³, Nov. 30, 1946¹.  Evelyn attended Poplar Bluff School and then worked at Narvey's in Portage.  After their marriage, they farmed near the home place in the Edwin¹ (Poplar Bluff)³ area until their retirement.
Keith was a member of the Manitoba Pool Elevators, Co-op Implements, Portage Consumers Co-operative, and the Army and Navy Veterans.  Keith enjoyed gardening and took great pride in his flowers, especially his rose bushes¹.  Evelyn shared Keith's interest in gardening and took pride in both vegetable and flower gardens as well as fruit trees.  Both were members of the Portage Horticultural Society.  Evelyn was also an active member of the Edwin U.C.W.³

Keith and Evelyn died at the Portage District General Hospital and are buried in Hillside Cemetery¹.
