From French Creek to Elk Haven, Sept. 25th
First, there was a tasty lunch with the animals at Blue Bell Lodge.
Second, we waited out the blockade by the "wild" donkeys on Wildlife Loop.
Third, a pair of pronghorns posed for us.
Fourth, a member of the Park staff taught us about buffalo hunting as it was practiced in the 1800's.
Fifth, we saw the buffalo corrals where the roundup would take place in a few days time.
Sixth, we examined interesting things and bought a couple of books at the Wildlife Visitor Information Center.
Seventh, and best of all, we got to Elk Haven and Mona and the gang reported that our newest grandson, Thomas Orland Kerr, had been born the day before in Ottawa! The picture is of Dale and Thomas at eight weeks old.
